A decade of organizational leadership, community building, and an interest helping people is what Craig Johnson brings to Re/Max Fairlane Realty.
At the heart of Craig Johnson’s professional background is the development of community partnerships and relationship building. As a non-profit professional, most recently serving as Executive Director of the Colchester East Hants Hospice (CEHH), Craig has worked daily to bring communities and organizations together to accomplish shared goals. It is this interest in people and community that sparked Craig’s interest in Real Estate.
A lifelong resident of the Truro area, Craig grew up in Valley and has a deep understanding of what makes each area of our community distinct and unique. As a volunteer, and someone who has participated in local elections, Craig has spent many hours chatting with people all across our community. In particular, Craig’s role as Executive Director of CEHH allowed Craig the privilege to serve our community as part of a team delivering vital services to individuals and families facing end of life, grief, and bereavement.
Craig has also taken great interest in the economic and cultural wellbeing of our community, and is proud to have chaired the Nova Scotia Music Week Host Committee in 2014 and 2016. Craig is serving as co-chair of the event as it returns to Truro in 2019. An international festival and conference, NSMW has helped put Truro on the map. Partnering together with Music Nova Scotia, Truro’s Host Committee developed a communications and marketing plan to meet our sponsorship and attendance goals. In our first year attendance to the festival increased by 46 per cent, bringing in over a million dollars to Truro’s local economy.
Craig and his wife Jennie are proud to call Truro home, and are pleased to be raising their daughter Alice near family and friends. The couple will welcome their second child - a boy - this coming September.
Final Fun Fact: Craig was nominated in the Most Truro Famous category of the 2017 Local Love Truro Awards.
