Joanne has been with Remax Fairlane Realty and working in the Real Estate Industry for over 15 years. Joanne has done it all…from administration, marketing & promotions, processing listing and offers, working as an unlicensed assistant to the broker and now as a licensed Realtor (going into her 3rd year) working as Sharon Corcoran’s licensed assistant. You may also know Joanne from her 8 year career operating her portrait and wedding photography company with her husband David Maxwell. From there, Joanne brings her passion for photography & creativity when assisting her Broker Sharon in listing properties to showcase them with high quality photos, video, marketing and social media. Joanne loves working with home buyers guiding them through the process so it's not only stress free but fun! When purchasing a home through Joanne and Sharon you can expect a detailed play by play of the process to keep you in the loop, local market knowledge, and help navigating you from house hunting to closing. Joanne also loves utilizing the latest technology tools from Remax - from e-signature programs, virtual walk throughs, video conferencing, and digital buyer and seller packages. Joanne believes that we should all serve the communities in which we live, work, and play. Joanne has sat on many boards including the Cobequid Arts Council, the Third Place Transition House, the Tourism committee for the Town of Truro & currently the Rental Standards Committee for the Town of Truro. Joanne believes that everyone should have a safe, affordable place to call home. Joanne is also active in community Theater and has acted in the V-Monologues for the last 4 years raising money for the Colchester Sexual Assault Center. Joanne has also taken part in many projects with the Lotus Center (the local Women’s Resource Center) including Take Back the Night Rally, One Billion Rising Dance and organizing local drives to collect donations for the Resource Center for Women in Need. Joanne has 2 dogs, Maci (a Prague Ratter) & Sasha (a Min Pin) and enjoys gardening, crafting & painting. Joanne is a life long resident of Truro, and is proud to call downtown Truro home.
